Mathematics: Counting, number bonds, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Geometry (shapes, positions) and measurement (time, length, weight).
Science: Year 1: Seasonal changes, plants, animals, and everyday materials. Year 2: Habitats, human health, and further exploration of materials and forces.
History: Key events, people, and places (e.g., The Great Fire of London).
Geography: Local area studies, maps, weather, and basic physical geography.
Art and Design: Exploring materials and techniques like drawing, painting, and sculpture.
Computing: Basic IT skills, coding, and understanding online safety.
Religious Education (RE) (varies by school): Learning about different religions and values.
Assessment: Year 1: Phonics Screening Check. Year 2: Key Stage 1 SATs to assess reading, writing, and mathematics.
